The topic which I will begin today is a bit long, so it will be divided. ACNE is a skin disease also known as pimples, blackheads, comedos and millia . It affects people in all parts of the world, particularly at puberty / adolescence due to hormonal changes . Adult women are also frequently affected, a common complaint in the office. More rarely, it can affect babies and postmenopausal women .
For treatment purposes, acne is divided into : mild , moderate or severe, the most common being the first two. It affects the face, scalp , chest and back. Mild acne presents itself as excessive oiliness of the skin, clogged pores and blackheads especially on the forehead, nose and chin. Some small superficial pimples may occur .
For this type of acne, treatment is topical and relatively simple : it consists in the proper cleaning of the skin with suitable soap, exfoliation, astringent lotion and, if necessary, antiseptic lotions or gels. The use of oil-free sunscreen for oily skin is an essential part of treatment as a way to prevent spots or scars. Skin cleansing with extraction at the clinic should be associated to the treatment, at every 30 or 45 days.
